Interview from Viva - City Guide
AndrÉs velencoso
Journalist – Seems simple the quiet life (on the winter) of a 5000 habitant’s village?

Andrés –
Yes, the truth is that seems simple specially when you’re traveling or living in cities like New York. This delights me, combining it with the quiet life.

J –
Do you often visit your hometown? Why?

A –
Yes, luckly I visit it often. Every time I come to Europe I try to go to Tossa.

J –
How do you remember your childhood in Tossa de Mar?

A –
Mostly, the long days on the beach, on winter and on the summer.

J –
What special food from your family’s restaurant do you recommend?

A –
Paella. It’s excellent.

J –
What’s your favorite place to go out in Tossa?

A –
My father’s bar in the castle, “Vila Vella”.

J –
What do the neighbors say to you when they saw you passing by?

A –
Different things: mostly they congratulate me.

J –
People associate you with spanish beauty prototype. Do you agree?

A –
“Prototype” I don’t know; spanish definitely.

J –
You had to succeed outside Spain to have recognition in your country. Do you think this situation has changed in our country?

A –
I think that they will always give you more value if you’re succeeded outside your country.

J –
What designers do you like to wear? And to work with?

A –
I like the Italian designers. Lately I’ve been working for Jean Paul Gaultier, a lovely person.

J –
Where do you see yourself in 25 years?

A –
I have no idea. But definitely in a quiet place next to the beach.
